Excellent all around flashlight

i have had my E2D LED Defender for about a year now and I’m really happy with it. After a year, I’m still on my very first set of batteries and original bulb (note – I carry this generally but use it only periodically, so your battery mileage may perhaps vary).
This really is an great flashlight. It’s light and compact enough to carry usually, will slip into a pocket (including jeans with little pockets). Fit and finish as well as the overall ‘feel’ in the surefire is great. The light is Particularly bright, and having the option of a much less bright light (to use much less battery power) can be a huge plus. The 5 lumens mode is fine for most situations where you require a little illumination, plus the 120 lumens offers the option of a truly bright light. I carry this frequently as a light, but also like a concealable impact weapon given the scalloped bezel and very bright light. I.e., if jogging at night, this is a fantastic thing to carry for both a practical light and a defensive weapon, though note it would not be extremely helpful against dogs.
4 stars – fantastic product, I can’t give it 5 stars mainly because on the ridiculous price (other manufacturers for instance Fenix make great lights at far better prices, but overall the Surefire does offer fit and finish that I haven’t encountered in other lights plus the scalloped bezel)..
